There should be no such thing as too poor to buy pot if you live in D.C., at least if the marijuana is for a medical condition.
In DC, No Such Thing as Too Poor For Medical Pot (http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/news/dc/in-dc-no-such-thing-as-too-poor-for-medical-pot-080510 - broken link)

There are some medical conditions that benefit from MM. The debilitating effects of some conditions make working impossible. So, yes,... I do believe it should be covered just as other medications are.

I'm waiting for someone to come in here and post how they saw Big Momma and her 15 kids waiting at the pharmacy (all listening to iPods, of course) for a huge pile of medicinal marijuana, watched her drive away in a brand new Escalade with fancy rims, and saw her later that day selling the pot and herself on a corner street.

You know someone will.

My migraines are AWFUL when I'm not smoking on one at least once a week.

I'm going on day five of a break, and I'm hoping the headaches stay away for the rest of the week. My RLS has already come back up.

For those who laugh at RLS, you don't have to experience it. Feels like someone is taking the tendon in my leg and pulling it up from the inside. Try sleeping with that. And I'm quite active throughout the day.

If it's "medical marijuana", meaning a Dr prescribed it, then it's just like any other drug and should be treated as such. Why would it be different than, say, vicodin or oxycodone?

See now, this wouldn't even be an issue if pot were just straight up legal. No prescription required, no prescription benefits needed.

Medicare/medicaid won't cover it, so its not like those other vile substances.
