Any black conservative is an Uncle Tom and should hide their head is shame but any lib regardless of color should be welcomed with open arms?

I would be willing to bet most of our Presidents have not used illegal drugs and all, who have served in our military have committed, what some of you would think makes them unfit to serve as President. The fact they may have helped our country, (clear back to Washington) is not important.

I would venture a guess, those who feel this way either use drugs or know people who do and see nothing wrong with it, but they haven't had a friend or a family member die or be disabled while serving the country.

PS:Whomever brought up Kerry, I don't think this post has anything to do with him and I don't think any conservative or other poster has said anything about his service.

Kerry's service DID get slandered by conservatives who accused him of committing war crimes during the 2004 election and declared him "unfit for command".

Apparently that strategy worked, otherwise Bush wouldn't have had a second term.

The same strategy could be used against West, even if West acted correctly when in Iraq and the military courts got it wrong.

Politics is a nasty, dirty, game where mudslinging and vicious attacks reign supreme. West's vulnerabilities have nothing to do with his ideology. I'd say the same thing if he was a liberal. If he ran for higher office he'd get torn to pieces over his conviction. I'm not saying that it's right. Americans bemoan dirty politics but seem to not be able to get enough of it.

As to claiming that anyone of any race can only adhere to a certain ideology, that's nonsense, and blacks can be conservatives, centrists, moderates, liberals, libertarians, socialists, monarchists or what have you just like any other racial or ethnic group.

Victimless crime v. war crime?

Wasn't Bush a cokehead and smoked pot and still drinks?

On a battlefield.
Is that the criteria for becoming president of the US? I don't think so, no matter what your opinion is, neither did those who voted for Obama.
You know, the majority of voters in the last election.

While this does not bar someone from the presidency according to the Constitution or other law, it provides considerable fodder for the opponent of that person which said opponent would exploit considerably.

I wonder if you were one of the conservatives who claimed that John Kerry was unfit for office because of his participation in atrocities in Vietnam (which he was never convicted for, and he still continues to be a US Senator)
Lets see use drugs or do something to save fellow soldiers lives? Thats so tough on which I think is worse

I agree with him about obama and West . Also Alan Keys is another good one hated by most of his race but I'd vote for him if I thought he had a chance .

According to the Military Investigation, soldiers under West's supervision assaulted the civilian Iraqi police officer in an attempt to get him to talk. West was processed through an Article 32 hearing in November 2003, where he admitted wrongdoing, was fined $5,000 over two months for misconduct and assault. He then submitted his resignation, and was allowed to retire with full benefits in the summer of 2004."

ANOTHER great reason to vote for him ! He knows like all the others that many of these so called policemen are in with the enemy .

Anyone with a thing called honor or with values is an automatic hate filled target of obamambots .
