The only thing I hate worse than blogs that present undocumented opinion is when they are used as reference material and presented as fact.

Barack Obama entered electoral politics as a member of a radical marxist group aimed at gaining control of the Democratic Party in order to implement a hardline version of socialism in America. He signed a contract promising to maintain a visible relationship.
New Ground 42 - Chicago Democratic Socialists of America
The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.
Although ACORN and SEIU Local 880 were the harbingers of the NP there was a strong presence of CoC and DSA (15% DSA).

I have thought myself that Barrack seemed to be a politician who was conservative. I think he saw how Alan Keyes political aspirations turned out and knew he would have more mainstream longevity as a Democrat

Do you all just make stuff up, or what?
Your post goes completely against the facts of Obama's political history. See sailordave's post for some of the facts:

All my conservative friends think Obama is way too liberal and all my liberal friends think he is way too conservative. So it must be closer to the center than most are willing to accept.

As to the title question of the thread, would it be possible to form it in a more biased way? In any case, my answer is "neither."

Two right-wing blogs don't make a right.

I read both of these stories and did a little googling.

Obama was endorsed by the New Party in 1996, but I do not find any evidence that he was ever a member. The only sources for this that I find are more right-wing blogs, some with mission statements avowing to undermine liberal thinking.

Their endorsement carries no particular weight. Obama was obiously the more liberal candidate, therefore closer to their political ideology, and the New Party wanted to get their name in the papers.

You didn't look very hard. It took me all of 30 seconds to find this:

"New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago."
