Americans have turned into such ******* and babies. God help us if we ever have to fight a major war where entire battalions are wiped out in a single day's fighting. We should be thankful the casaulty counts are negligible compared to what they would be in a war against a nation that possesses actual armed forces. Iraq and Afghanistan are training exercises compared to what will happen when we eventually have to fight the Chinese.

there were plenty of security measures in place at the time, just the TSA got lazy in enforcing those measures, and the ACLU screaming about racial profiling meant that we couldnt say to those 19 terrorist, you cant get on the plane because you are of middle eastern descent.

as for the intelligence agencies, they were getting tons of good intelligence, the problem was that the clinton administration put a wall between the agencies so that they could not share intelligence and stop the highjackers long before they got on the planes. as for locking cockpit doors, at the time they were easy to open.

Apparently he wasn't sick enough when the U.S. government fully backed him in his war with Iran.

These never ending wars are a direct result of decades of wrongheaded interventionist foreign policy. I guess you need to be reminded that al-CIA-da were our surrogates when they were fighting the Russians in Afghanistan and the Serbs in Bosnia.

Thank you for that. I'll be offline expanding my knowledge.

In 1983, I was 12. So it might take a while to catch up....

You lost all credibility and opportunity for discussion with the Hussein garbage.
He didn't start this war.

You're right. Bush did. How many of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq? Hmm...seems to me we should be at war with the Saudi's. Saddam had how much to do with 9/11?

And how can I "defend a man who condones rape and murder?" Not rape, but Bush is responsible for quite a number of troop deaths. All in the name of what? How many WMD's were found in Iraq? How's that Iraq nuclear program working out? They never had one.

And BTW, why is it America's responsibility to give Iraqi citizens a better way of life? The average American (like me) doesn't give a s--- about their way of life or the fact that they can vote. Let OTHER NATIONS worry about that. America DOES NOT have to be the world police. Freaking send Canada...they don't do s--- military-wise anyway. Hell, send ANYONE ELSE but our own troops. Because Iraqi's get to vote, how and hell does that improve OUR way of life? As for oil and natural resources, shouldn't gas be 99 cents/gallon if we were rounding up all of their oil?

Bush and his partner, slippery Dick fooled everyone and did nothing but kill our troops and line their own pockets along the way. In the meantime, our own country has gone to s---. Hell, we can't even secure our borders. Why not pull all the troops out of the Middle East and put them along the Mexican border? Let Afghanistan and Iraq fall apart completely for all I care. The sad part is I voted for Bush TWICE and now got fooled again with Obama.

Why has production of opium gone up every year, setting world records for the amount of opium being produced since the US invaded?
