Its pretty smart.... sell one side weapons, sell the other side better weapons, then go back and sell the other side better weapons, and keep doing it over and over and over and PROFIT.... Sure its not great for Israel and Saudi Arabia as they try to one up each other but it makes a lot of money for us... otherwise these would go to junkyards for a lost of a lot of money that was invested in them...

it does not matter Isreal has placed a order for 100+ F-35 Joint Strike Fighters and will be getting a first batch between 2012-2014. so why not make some cash of so old used up 80's and 90's outdated F-15's we having kicking around and sell them to the saudis for a good profit.

The United States is considering selling 84 advanced F-15 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia but without long-range weapons systems objected to by Israel, the Wall Street Journal has reported.

Citing unnamed diplomats and officials, the newspaper said the proposed $30 billion, 10-year package has been under negotiation for months and has generated a lot of tensions.

Israeli officials have been concerned that the administration of President Barack Obama risked undermining Israel’s regional military advantage, the report said.

At this point in time, Israel should not be surprised by this.
The question begs. How many civilians has the Saudi Airforce killed using American made weapons?
How many has Israel killed?
Israel hardly owns the moral high ground.

What the...

As has been pointed out the Saudi's have bought F-15's from the U.S. and has 7 squadrons as we speak, not to mention five E-3 AWACS Sentrys.

Zionists would drop moabs on Lebanon, and the Palestinians if they thought they could come up with a convincing enough bull story. I don't see them getting kinder any time soon.

maybe Palestinians should smarten up and stop shooting homemade rockets at isreal. Isreal told them to stop they did not listen and Isreal did what they had to do to make them stop and protect their people from rocket attacks.

come on you don't attack and antagonize a better armed military and think you can get away with it without them doing something about it.

I like Isreal they are surronded by countries that hate them and want them gone and they stand their ground and don't take no BS

uh...not really. It's comforting to believe that somewhere DEEP down inside there's some goodness in eveyone. But not this one.
She admittedly pulls stuff from "JewWatch" and pollutes this forum with that crap.

That would make sense, Eurofighter and SU-35 are air superiority fighters, whereas the F-35 is a multirole aircraft.

I've seen this quote before and it's downright silly. Of all the more modern aircraft, or even pure air superiority fighters available to prove their fighter they match it with a bunch of previous generation planes that are multirole attack aircraft. A freakin harrier? That was flying in the early 1960s and isn't even supersonic!

Could they have at least thrown a F-15, Su-27, or Rafale, or Super Hornet in there?

Also of note = often in these types of exercises the opposing force is purposely simulating enemy tactics in attack, so can be very misleading results but makes for good press.

I thought Canidian Hornets were C and D models, not supers?

Gotta wonder why Saudi is buying aircraft that are based on 40 year old technology when there are more modern ones available. Might be to make the US feel good about all the oil dollars that have headed their way.
