Please don;t think for a minute that i am starting a GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT.
We need to:
1. Lifetime ban on Congressmen turning into lobbyists.
2. Term limits.
3. Prosecutors cannot run for office for three years after they leave office as
Prosecutor. Any sanctions as a Prosecutor and then NEVER in public office.
I think this could have a good effect. This will stop quite a bit of people getting railroaded to prison if the prosecutor can get barred from public office. Think of the money our cities and governments will save on this. Plus we will keep some dirty dogs out of politics.

You get a big virtual broom and make a clean sweep of all the parasite politicians that infest our institutions of governance. They in 2 years, you make a clean sweep of the White House. You elect statesman who care about America as a whole, not you, as an infant wanting the teat of other people's money jammed into your mouth. Keep this up until you are weaned and can stand on your own two feet, and proudly so, and make sure all you know and raise feel and act the same way.
You are an American, not some stinking Frenchie or Belgium or Greek, you are a god-damned American so start acting like it.
Politicians are too self serving. They are too connected to companies and lobbyists (both parties). And they are down right crooked and corrupt.
And lets face it, it is a near impossible feat to clean house and get some rules in place to fix it. Because we as the people cant put these rules in place, though we should be able to some how.
All lobbying should be banned. Period no if ands or buts.
Fundraising and all this raising money for ads and all this other bs is just a frickin waste.
The freedom of information act should apply to even the dealing of all politicians. And this bs of letting giant agencies like the SEC off the hook now from abiding by that is bull.
No more lifetime benefits.
More oversight by an outside group over the politicians. It use to be the media but we cant trust the media to do their jobs anymore. They pander to one side most times, liberal.
Why not start a grassroots movement? I personally believe you'd have alot of support.
OK, This is now a GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT! Let's pick one thing and start hammering your elected official. Term limits will start to dismantle both good ol boy networks of both parties.
Actually i have no skills to do this.
Why not eliminate the federal income tax. The less money Congress has control of the less power they have.
How exactly do you propose funding the business of government? Don't get me wrong, I also think that the current taxing system is grossly unfair. Far too many who reap the benefits of this country are not paying a dime in taxes but you can't simply do away with the existing system until you have something better to put in its place. So what would that be?

I agree congressmen should not become lobbyists and lobbyists shouldn't become congressmen(nor their spouses).
We have Term Limits...it's called VOTING.
BUT until you can change humans and human nature you will NOT eradicate the corruption in Washington.
shrink the federal govt down to the size it was originally intended to be...stop all this crap that is making all of them rich...take the power away from them you will see how fast the lobbyist will disappear
