I remember that. Wasn't it a clip from some woman in Detroit? Didn't they use it in McCain's campaign? Look
at the last aid bill. Money going to pay salaries in states like New Jersey - land of Christ Christie

Gov. Christie to apply for $268M in federal education aid bill signed by Pres. Obama | NJ.com

Does the insanity never end Like I said - they are
ALL the same

Are you making fun of the working poor? At least she would be working. On top of it,if she is a welfare quenn I doubt she would be working.

If she gets sec 8,she should qualify. She is the working poor. You know, the people who can't afford to even rent a home or apt or buy food with their meager salaries?

I would actually call the landlords unselfish and private enterprise - if they did it on their own The landlord is no different than the tenant. They are both getting something for free from tax payer dollars. Just calling it what it is
Some view deductions for owning a home as a handout.
I pay more for renting a home than if I owned one,but can't take a deduction.

Funny how the allure of handouts seems to always draw a massive crowd.
Remember the free Obama money in Detroit last year?

Easy solution.

Cancel section 8 completely.

Yeah and the RNC buys your vote with unfunded tax cuts and debt-funded wars to satisfy your need for the emotional high of faux-patriotism without any personal sacrifice. Whats the difference (other than your vote costs an order of magnitude more)?

The Dems have been funding 2 wars for a number of years now.
And they are trying to buy votes. Is there a difference here that I don't see ?

My husband said this morning that with the amount of money spent already on garbage, Obama could have given every legal tax payer something like $30,000. That would have helped a family buy health care, keep their homes, cars and stimulate the economy as well.

Yes, they are buying votes (really they buying an image that they aren't "soft"). The same way they attempted to buy their re-election with votes for the Iraqi war and Patriot Act. The same reason why Obama couldn't completely disavow war and had to trade one for the other (Iraq for Afghanistan) You do understand the political fallout that would occur if they decided not to fund the wars? This country's thirst for cheap (read: free) international machismo is well understood by the Democrats.
