This is scary stuff. Makes me wish I had a little land in Montana or Wyoming where I could move to and grow my own food.

And the worse news.............................

This fool is increasing taxes at the first of the year, which will kill the economy even further. 2011 will be a bumpy ride for everyone.People say that Obama is a "smart man", but how can one with even average intelligence be such an idiot? A rational man, when faced with failure of one action, will evaluate a situation and change his approach in order to succeed. Only a fool adheres to a failed plan and does not re-evaluate policy and outcomes. It appears Obama is a fool.

Obama will be on par with Herbert Hoover as delivering the nation to the brink of despair. The austerity measures that will have to instituted to clean up this clown's mess (and that of the democratic congress) will be extrordinary.

The number of new claims for jobless benefits rose 2,000 to 484,000 in the week ended Aug. 7, the second straight increase, Labor Department data showed on Thursday.

The four-week moving average, which economists prefer because it smoothes out weekly fluctuations, rose 14,250 to 473,500, also the highest level since the week ended Feb. 20.
Of course, this was totally "unexpected".

I would estimate that GWB was Hoover (FDR-lite) and Obama is FDR. Like Hoover, Bush wanted to enact these socialist policies, but being a lame duck didn't help.
