You are allowed to hold our nation to the low standards of Saudi Arabia. I, for one, am quite pleased that Obama is upholding the high standards of AMERICA by supporting the development of the Muslim community center in NYC.

Not entirely sure what the point of your post is. There are thousands of churches in NYC, hundreds of synagogues, shuls, and yeshivas, and a handful of *gasp* secular humanist organizations.
To equate the Cordoba house to a mosque is like saying a JCC is a synagogue. Not true, no matter how you try to twist it.
That was one of the better articles I've read in quite a while, very logical, hence the reason it will probably be disregarded or left unread by the majority of posters here.
