Why is it okay for Palin and Gingrich to throw their opinions out into the public stream but not okay for others to response to their divisive comments? Liberal haven't needed Obama to tell us this is a freedom of religion issue, which if you'll recall is a basic right in this country. Most Muslims are peace loving people.

No, it is NOT clear that the majority of American and New Yorkers oppose this mosque and you have nothing what so ever to back up that generalization/claim. Even if it were true our following the constitution was never meant to be a popularity contest. It protects ALL churches, even the denominations that are not dominate in this country. What next, they can't build anymore Buddhist temples here?
Americans who actually have the ability to feel the pain of New Yorkers who had to live through this and who will never forget this as long as they live.
Maybe they have outlawed showing the films of those twin towers going down so everybody will forget BUT those who lived it and those who look at the empty space at their table will never forget.
Some of us FEEL their pain and do NOT want to add to their pain.
Obama could care less ABOUT THEM, but we STILL DO.
