It is nice to see so many specific Republican ideas? There's, ah, .... and then there's, ah, ..., and all that other stuff. Oh, and the current big thing, make sure that Mosque isn't built.

It matter not what the Republicans say about anything, since they don't hold the power in Congress. All they can do is whine and squirm in their seats, since the Democrats outnumber them and can pass whatever they want, which in turn is signed by Obama.
Actually it DOES MATTER. If the Republicans had legitimate new ideals they might actually do something to help our country. Right now they are obstructing a lot of progress.

Thank god...that is the last thing we need is more "progress" from this administration. There is no personal responsibility in this presidents eyes.

According to a study by the conservative think tank, the Cato Institute, administering a private system of social security would be more expensive than what we have now. It is broke because both parties have failed to tackle the tough issues and have refused to raise the limits on contributions. If you did just that, the system would be fully funded.

No, the idea is to enrich Wall Street and pay off political donors. Making social security private is a sure way to get the govt. more involved in the markets. Right now, it is immune since it is financed by bonds. If it were financed through the market, everytime there is a natural downturn, people would be screaming for the govt to get more involved.

Well this being an ELECTION YEAR you'd think the Republicans would full of "New Ideals" to convince people to elect them.

Or is their primary election strategy to blame everything on the Democrats?
