Just start another thread about how much you don't like us. It has absolutely nothing to do with THIS one.

Atlas Shrugs

This is the only one I've seen so far. Guess we'll have to wait for further confirmation.

Insiders say Muslim spiritual leaders behind the controversial initiative are considering giving up on the former World Trade Center location, in a gesture of appeasement.

I bet this is going to pizz off Hamas...
There was nothing planned for ground zero.
If this is true, I hope that those against the community center 2 blocks away from ground zero will not make mention of it if xian churches are not permitted in other parts of the US or the world.
I guess you're all proud of yourselves.

Hatred and bigotry are not assets.

Well the headline is true, there are no plans to build anything at "ground zero". The issue is exactly how far, how many blocks away, people are ok with. My guess is that there is no real consensus whatsoever, so wherever they try to build someone will find fault with the location. May as well build here and not closer to "ground zero" right?

I had a fear that someone would just fly a plane into the side of it if it were built and cause more anger. This is best for everyone.
Probably be a little tough to maneuver a plane that low through the narrow streets of lower Manhattan with all the buildings in the way that are much taller than a small 13-story structure.

It likely would have just quieted down on its own.
