Oh big deal. She's probably a dumb kid who will be disciplined by the military and disdained by many citizens for using such poor judgment. But it's not like she's harming anyone in the photo, is she? This is the problem with leftists -- they have absolutely no ability to discern between foolish behavior and evil behavior.

Yes, she is a dumb kid. But since she is a former soldier and was released from the Israeli army some time ago, I don't think the military can do anything to her. But this story has led to a public outcry from the Israeli public. IDF's Facebook dilemma - Israel News, Ynetnews

Looks like a silly photo by a young girl. That is nothing compared to teens in this country caught on security video ganging up and beating another to death or serious injury in ths country. The steet thugs in this country are famous all over the world really. Too bad that we don;t get to see the 28,000 murdered in mexico as announced by the mexican govenment since the drug wars began four yaars ago to get a perspective of what it at our own borders.
Israel has lost its soul with the occupation of the West Bank.
Israel's Jewish soul is in the west bank. The ancient kingdom of Israel was centered around Judea and Samaria, regions in the west bank. This is why it is so difficult to give it up.

Except that it's no longer their land. Consistent and violent attempts to reclaim it is soulless, yeah?

Explain to me, and I'm assuming you're an American not an Israeli (in which case, ignore this post), what makes you defend Israel so vehemently and with so much fervor even against fellow Americans? You immediately went finger pointing to defend the act and blaming the "leftists" for bringing it up.

"Ancient"
And assuming you live in America, I guess the rules should still apply... giving the land back to those who held it in ancient times?
So again we go back to the issue of legitimacy. If you are suggesting that time held = legitimate claim to a land, then perhaps in 500 years or so you will agree that Israel is a Jewish homeland. Just be patient.

And what criteria do you suggest we use to define the legitimacy? What gives foreign born Jews (perhaps not even Semites) a greater right to the land than Palestinians (Muslims and Christians) who had been there for generations, if not forever?
For that matter, do we use religion to define the rights? What criteria do you propose for giving land (USA) back to the natives, after all, in the ancient times it was theirs. Let us start with your home, shall we?
