It's interesting to read the complaints from some people about General Motors, yet they don't seem to be bothered by the fact that a few southern Senators have given billions of taxpayer dollars to foreign automakers.
This is an opinion piece from 2008, but it's certainly still relevant:
Those few "foreign automakers" are creating and keeping AMERICAN Jobs, not there, but here. More than what GM and Chrysler did.
And oh, by the way...FIAT...bought Chrysler. There are not many "American" automakers anymore...so you should be glad you can still buy an "American" car, from ... ahem ... Honda, Hyundai, Toyota & Mercedes Benz.
UAW sympathizers. Why do you think those foreign automakers are all in the south ?
Those AMERICAN workers earn a decent wage and seem to be doing just fine without the UAW "protecting them".
I'd donate to Honda/Toyota any day of the week; they came here and gave AMERICANS jobs.
