Of course we should protect our resources, and the Shah was the lesser of two evils, and we owe one Islamic revolution to one Carter, the second would be to one Obama...
God help us all!

Bolton was there at a rough period, and I wish he was still there.

They're not our resources. We just plan to steal them.

The former Saudi King used an Israeli Doctor. The leaders (dictators) of all the Arab countries aside from Assad in Syria, know that Israel is not a threat to them. They are supporting and might even be helping Israel behind the scene to make sure Iran will not go nuclear. There is a buzz that Saudi will allow Israeli Airplane to refuel in Saudi.

Just look at current events ..... back in 2002 ... it was Iraq and Saddam Hussein's WMD's ... got to go to war!! Got to stop them! Ooops ... no WMDs.

2010 ... Iran ... WMDs ... got to go to war!! Got to stop them!! Oooops ... sorry, World War III, and nuclear war .... 2 Billion Dead! Oh well, we had too many people anyway.
Contrary to ongoing reports by mainstream media outlets, WMDs have been found in Iraq, so reports New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter in his new book, Disinformation.
Consider these shocking facts:
• Found: 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium
• Found: 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons
• Found: Roadside bomb loaded with sarin gas
• Found: 1,000 radioactive materials--ideal for radioactive dirty bombs
• Found: 17 chemical warheads--some containing cyclosarin, a nerve agent five times more powerful than sarin

Now just close your eyes and imagine what would we found had Israel not bomb the nuclear facility in the 80????

We kill and steal for them.
We start wars for them.
It's not our call to decide who can and cannot control resources.
We do not rule the world.

This still does not mitigate the fact that the Shah was a dictator who "disappeared" people in the middle of the night. Nor does it erase the fact that we knew Saddam was a brutal scumbag but we did business with and flirted with him in the 80's when he was fighting cleric-led Iran.

Bwahahahaha! We gave the Shah weapons and spy toys so he would be in our pocket and do what we said. He was our puppet. It wasn't about freedom for the Iranians...it was about our interests and thwarting the Soviets. Or do you mean how we give free weapons to the Saudi royal family which is nothing but a theocratic dictatorial monarchy that allows NO freedom for its people? Or the Mubarak regime in Egypt that routinely jails dissidents? Or maybe Jordan. Yes...these regimes are paragons of freedom. ...Please.

We are already engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan. Put simply, we do not have the military resources to open another front and against an adversary like Iran.
couldn't of said it better myself....
