Certainly, the democratically elected Iranian government's decision to nationalize the oil wells had nothing to do with the UK and US having a sudden desire to install an oppressive monarch in Iran. Nuh-uh.
Are you driving a car, are you using oil?
Of course we should protect our resources, and the Shah was the lesser of two evils, and we owe one Islamic revolution to one Carter, the second would be to one Obama...
God help us all!

I think we need tough people in power right now and not the marshmallow throwing Obama administration and the idiots he has appointed.
The left thinks we need people that have the qualities of appeasing and apologizing, like this guy telling China that we are also , like much like china, not perfect see our AZ law.
Bolton was there at a rough period, and I wish he was still there.

They're not our resources. We just plan to steal them.
Nothing is going to happen. Iran will get nuclear power and whatever else they have going on. No one country will dare to attack them not without major support for others in the area and we all know what the surrounding countries think of Israel. Not gonna happen.
The Arab countries around are more afraid of a nuclear Iran than they are afraid of Israel. Forget the Bull they are feeding their own people, that Israel is to blame for everything bad under the sun.
The former Saudi King used an Israeli Doctor. The leaders (dictators) of all the Arab countries aside from Assad in Syria, know that Israel is not a threat to them. They are supporting and might even be helping Israel behind the scene to make sure Iran will not go nuclear. There is a buzz that Saudi will allow Israeli Airplane to refuel in Saudi.
If you have an understanding of human nature and history, yes, there seems to be an uncanny level of repetitiveness that could provide enough information to predict the future ... especially if you did so using parables and language unfamiliar to those people 2000 years from now that will be debating just how accurate that information is.
Just look at current events ..... back in 2002 ... it was Iraq and Saddam Hussein's WMD's ... got to go to war!! Got to stop them! Ooops ... no WMDs.
2010 ... Iran ... WMDs ... got to go to war!! Got to stop them!! Oooops ... sorry, World War III, and nuclear war .... 2 Billion Dead! Oh well, we had too many people anyway.
Contrary to ongoing reports by mainstream media outlets, WMDs have been found in Iraq, so reports New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter in his new book, Disinformation.
Consider these shocking facts:
• Found: 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium
• Found: 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons
• Found: Roadside bomb loaded with sarin gas
• Found: 1,000 radioactive materials--ideal for radioactive dirty bombs
• Found: 17 chemical warheads--some containing cyclosarin, a nerve agent five times more powerful than sarin
Now just close your eyes and imagine what would we found had Israel not bomb the nuclear facility in the 80????

Yes, the entire world is wrong. This guy is correct.
The Shah was the lesser of two evils: A monarchy with modernistic and secular tendencies, or a clerical government with regressive/oppressive rule.
This still does not mitigate the fact that the Shah was a dictator who "disappeared" people in the middle of the night. Nor does it erase the fact that we knew Saddam was a brutal scumbag but we did business with and flirted with him in the 80's when he was fighting cleric-led Iran.

Bwahahahaha! We gave the Shah weapons and spy toys so he would be in our pocket and do what we said. He was our puppet. It wasn't about freedom for the Iranians...it was about our interests and thwarting the Soviets. Or do you mean how we give free weapons to the Saudi royal family which is nothing but a theocratic dictatorial monarchy that allows NO freedom for its people? Or the Mubarak regime in Egypt that routinely jails dissidents? Or maybe Jordan. Yes...these regimes are paragons of freedom. ...Please.
There will be no military strike IMHO. The disadvantages more than outweigh the advantages.
Iran is no Iraq. She is much bigger than Iraq, her military has not been degraded the way the Iraqi military was and she can threaten our interests in the Gulf, in Iraq and in Afghanistan.
We are already engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan. Put simply, we do not have the military resources to open another front and against an adversary like Iran.
couldn't of said it better myself....
