It's a coincidence...really. Surely the muslims wouldn't be erecting a symbol of victory...would they?

You can dislike the Cordoba House for many reasons. To make up a false history about the city of Cordoba and pass it off as truth is not one of them.

You have been proven wrong on this one.

Looked at it that way, every religious establishment is a symbol of victory.

Well, I'm not the Op and I didn't make up any false history.

Where has the op been proven wrong?

You posted a link to a blog.

What does Spain taking over the mosque have to do with the muslims original intent?

And then there was the Chrysler Cordoba, with it's rich Corinthian Leather, was that part of the plot?

You posted a link to a blog. Big effin.
A blog by a graduate student at Yale in Medieval History. His reputation is on the line- it's not like the blog is anonymous. It also links to books and scholarly works. It's not just his opinion, it's footnoted by supported facts. If I could post a book, I would. The blog was thoroughly researched and the closest thing.

But I guess Wikipedia is clearly the better source?

Beyond the fact that I was under the impression that the history of Cordoba was fairly rudimentary. I suppose not everyone paid as much attention in the middle school history classes as I did.
