But when the "combat troops" drop out, people think its over, its far from over. We are still spending loads of money, using American lives, and all for a mistake.
There are plenty of threads to debate these things. The OP has a right to not have this turn into another one of them. Nobody is trying to pretend that there are no more problems to address.

A very special and heartfelt "Job Well Done" to all our service men and women and intelligence operators for their service and Iraq. We all owe them and their families a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. That especialy goes out to troops who were wounded or those that gave their lives.

Yes, 50,000 will remain in a non-combat capacity, and no one is forgetting them. However, can’t we rejoice for the others? I’m watching them cross the border into Kuwait, and it’s wonderful.

I just don't want someone to read the headlines, and forget about the ones that will be there for decades to come.
All the reports keep saying "combat" troops which indicates not all are coming home.
So I went looking..50K are staying there.
It's not over til those last 50K come home..don't forget those guys.

After this month's withdrawal, there will still be 50,000 US troops in 94 military bases, "advising" and training the Iraqi army, "providing security" and carrying out "counter-terrorism" missions.

Mission accomplished President Obama!
You had to throw in that last tidbit huh? Good post otherwise. Barack Obama gets 1/10th of 1 percent of the credit. That's all i'll say about that.
Otherwise, good post.
