I look forward to reading the material you post. If a business behaves badly, people do not buy their product or service and they stop earning a profit. Badly behaving businesses punish themselves, government interaction is unnecessary (and more often than not, counterproductive)

THAT is the beauty of a free market....or am I wrong?

You do realize that ERISA already sets the standard for group insurance, do you not? That is a federal law.
You understand that has changed with obamacare. No longer will an individual be able to custom tailor their HC coverage to meet THEIR needs.

Obamacare is not in effect yet. In addition, there are many rules and regulations for insurance companies, so that no one can have a totally custom plan. Google ERISA for starts.

After all the nasty little details that have come out in recent months, the details that state people WILL NOT be able to keep their HC, that business will see their premiums increase, which will be passed down to employees, that obamacare will cost even more than planned (of course, some of us knew this already), you just continue to ignore the evidence in front of you.

Obamacare is a complete disaster.

Some will go to great lengths to defend obama and this rotten piece of legislation that hopefully will be repealed.

Doesn't it bother you that obama and the dems have lied to you? Doesn't it bother you that NONE of the stated goals obama set forth will be achieved? Doesn't it bother you how obama and the dems corrupted the process to get this massive piece of legislation passed on a party line vote against the will of a majority of Americans?

Great post, Sanrene. Election Day is shaping up to be the People's Revenge on Congress for passing Obamacare.

Health reform's bureaucratic spawn

"Don’t bother trying to count up the number of agencies, boards and commissions created under the new health care law. Estimating the number is “impossible,” a recent Congressional Research Service report says, and a true count “unknowable.”

2-Your understanding of economic impact of any policy doesn't go beyond superficial economics that right wing media throws at you. So, I will avoid discussing that.

3- Among the very few tea partiers I've around, one just learned her lesson. She was riding a similar same boat that you're. She just hit the rock sooner than you. She made the same point about "keeping the same doctor" about a month ago. And now that she's been laid off, she has no insurance (unless she opts for the socialistic set up that is COBRA). Did I say she was wary of losing her doctors? At sixty, now she can't wait to get on Medicare.

That was so confused that I cannot even fathom the "point" that you were trying to make.

1. Obamacare adds 30-40 million new patients and claims to "cut costs"
2. The average real cost of coverage for a medicaid patient (Obamacare) is $2,300 per year (that is the rock bottom low end, which is somewhat unrealistic)
3. If we multiply $2,300 by 40 million, we end up with about $1 trillion of additonal expenses over ten years.
4. The CBO estimates for the cost of Obamacare noted that the "revenues" to provide for the cost of the program, included taxation for four years prior to any benefits awarded (therefore the cost going forward, of course, would be much higher) and assumed a $500 billion cut in medicare (which will never happen)
5. By conservative estimates, Obamacare saddles the nation with $1-3 trillion in additional expense over ten years.
6. Buisness taxes increase to support Obamacare, increasing the cost of doing buisness in the US, cutting profits and the ability to hire new employees.
7. Large buisnesses are encouraged to dump patients from their corporate insurance roles, as the cost of the "fine" is far less than the actual coverage for a patient, burdening the Obamacare system further.
8. States have markedly increased expenditures to pay for new medicaid dependents under Obamacare.
9. There are no provisions for actual cost cutting under Obamacare (except cutting Medicare, which will never happen)-
no tort reform
no mandates for generic drugs
no cost containment for hospital or equipment fees.

Obamacare is a multi- trillion dollar mistake that allows healthcare costs to rise and burdens the nation with more debt. Thanks Barry.

Why to people seem to think that operating cost savings will somehow be passed to the consumer? Silly wabbits...
