It took over 30 years to build.

Bushehr was almost completed under the Shah.
Building was stopped after the Islamic revolution
because at that time nuclear power was unIslamic.

Bushehr was damaged by fire and several attacks
from Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war.

Russia was supposed to finish Bushehr in 1999...
but delay after delay prevented it.

Now it is finished.
