From unveiling a new recipe to promising more honest ads, Domino's has done a great deal to restructure its image in recent months. And then some jackass delivery guy in North Carolina has to go and ruin the fun for everyone by dropping the "N word" on a customer's receipt.

Companies get what the pay for. Minimum wage means minimum level of professionalism. Surprised we don't see more of this sort of stuff.

Of course overreaction by the media

as stated in the very report by the manager of the store

Quote:
I'm horrified this occurred. This was the action of a lone individual and it does not reflect my views. Upon learning of the incident, the General Manager of the store fired the responsible person immediately. I have reached out to the customer and offered my sincere apology.

While this man was in the wrong, black people seriously need to start tipping better. Its beyond ridiculous the way black people tip the pizza guy, their bartender, or a server at a restaurant. If they didn't tip outside of the norm, then their wouldn't be a reason to be bringing this issue up in 2010.

This social issue kind of irks me more than most, as I have been a server and bartender in the past, and witnessed their tipping habits first hand.

even if they all tipped, this sterotype about their tipping would still go on. many of the servers at the places that I worked tended to be very spoiled white kids from upper middle class families and probably don't need the $$ as badly.

It's okay to stereotype if it's true. And people should be tipped on their job performance. Not on how much money their family has.

I used to wait tables. I never found blacks to tip any less than whites. It was the middle easterners that wouldn't tip.

The title of this article is incredibly misleading. Probably the writer Chris Morran chose Pepsi over Coke. The company dose not deliver racism. The idiot delivery chick doesn't realize that the customer that ordered pizza even though may not have been a good tipper supplied the racist twit with a job just by ordering. I commend the owner for taking action and not only firing the moron but also reaching out to the customer. For proof that the delivery chick not only a hater but also an idiot I point out that she called the customer and cussed her out using the same word. I hope she has a well feed year in the poky for terrorist threats because she clearly won't be earning a paycheck that 8% of Americans would jump at

Considering that the employee can now likely go on unemployment and get paid to relax on the beach and travel, what's the incentive to act professionally? I'm sure this dude would kiss @ss if he knew there was no safety net.

In what fantasy world do people who get fired for misconduct receive unemployment benefits?

Many employers do not fight claims for UE unless there's legal ramifications. Domino's couldn't prove it was the kid who did it (although he probably did), and if the kid's smart he'll make this claim.
