Is the 2010 election message being hijacked deliberately? Are we falling for it AGAIN? We're a little more than 2 months from the 2010 elections and where are all of the posts about the economy (unemployment, out of control spending, mortgage foreclosures, taxes, the national debt), government encroachment into business and every facet of our lives, and our American sovereignty? The numbers on unemployment, foreclosures, spending and the national debt are horrendous. Why aren't we talking about it more? (I know I am guilty of it, too.)

Even the conservative TV pundits/analysts are going girly-man on the important 2010 election issues. Why are they spending half or three-quarters of their shows talking about and analyzing religious tolerance, race and culture issues? Is it because they aren't smart enough to have a grasp of economic and freedom issues or are the economic/freedom issues just not as entertaining to them?

Of course the conversation is being deliberately diverted. The Progressives have only defied the wishes of the American people. That is a pretty difficult platform upon which to campaign.

With the short attention span these days, it's probably still a little early - however, come early October - the fight is on.

Maybe we should go back to the basics and define the priciples we all stand for. Would starting there be better than constantly attacking the other side. I know this would **** both sides off, but it may have to in oorder to dig out of this mess.
