sure, sure. The GOP was just as recent as 2008/9 campaigning on that very thing, and have already started again for mid-terms.

What is more pathetic...35 years...or 2 years?

The Democrats have controlled Congress for 40
of the last 50 years.

If someone burns burns down your house, you can't hold the fireman accountable for any damages. He can try his best to put out the fire, but when he is asked by the homeowner what damaged his assets, he (the fireman) is going to hold the arsonist accountable. You figure out which character is Bush, and which character is Obama......

If Bush caused Katrina, then
Obama caused the oil spill,
and the flood in the midwest.

It's the federal government's fault. Stop blaming the puppet and start blaming the puppeteer(s).

look at the health 'reform' thewy did...doesnt even take effect until after 2014 ( and somethings 2019)....so whos fault will that be

our proplems are from LBJ, nixon, ford, carter, reagan, bush1, clinton, bush2, and now obama

all have made it worse, but you would rather blame only the repubs????
Thanks for making a great point...but uh, not quite on topic. Why do Republicans still campaign on deriding Carter and Clinton...yet demand that Bush be given a pass, 'cause it's time to move on.

Also...the REPUBLICAN pushed and obstructed until they got the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act passed after a 55-44 party line vote (except for 1 Rep & 1 Dem). And that by itself didn't cause the bubble...the deregulation and look the other way mentality driven by the leverage/risk mania caused the bubble.

And nice attempt...but YOU NEVER saw me type that I was only blaming the repugs. Just how funny it was that they wanted everyone to "ease off" Bush 2. Would you care to wiff again?

Really?

2010-40=1970

Republican's in control from 1981-1987=6. Republican's in control from 1994-2001, 2002-2006=7+4=11. 6+11=17.

The math doesn't lie...from 1970 to 2010, Republican's have been in power for 17 of those 40 years. That's 42.5% of the time...not the 80% you're falsely trying to portray.

It's good to see that everyone that has posted is a Keynesian. Democratic policy did this, Republican policy did that, and no one is attributing our situation to the cycle of capitalism. After a period of good, there has to be a period of bad. After our current correction the good will come back.

Do you think that government intervention can prevent that from happening? Or government non-intervention can cause that to happen?

Oh brother!
