Mitch Daniels is not a communist, a socialist, or even a garden-variety liberal. On the contrary, he’s a conservative Republican who’s served at the pleasure of two Republican presidents (Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush) and now occupies the Indiana governor’s mansion.
I don't think they will raise taxes. They're in a world where every problem in the world can be solved with lowering taxes. They even raise spending when they lower taxes. And they're the fiscally conservative party. lol.
What the GOP will do is what it always does. Lower taxes, keep spending high, de-rail our economy, get voted out, then call Democrats "tax and spend Democrats" when the Democrats have to fix the job making the Democrats unpopular, and the GOP gets voted back into office. Rinse and repeat.
