I guess we can't say Mexico isn't at least trying to stem the flow of illegals into the US.

Bush ignored the immigration issue just as Obama is ignoring the issue. Both are held in equal contempt for their lack of action/pro-immigration policies in Texas as well as other border states. FACT!!

That said, there appears to be no outrage from the left on this issue. The left is walking down the same old RUT on this issue: "Well-George Bush- did-nothing-so-it's-OK-if-Obama-does-nothing". The left has the idea that the drug cartels will honor the border and stay on Mexican soil. It's only a matter of time until the violence flows into the states as witnessed by the closing of some of our land in Arizona because of Mexican cartel/violent immigrants on our soil.

This is a ticking bomb, but just maybe you guys not living in a border state will get to share in the fun really soon.

Do you have the same disdain for President George W. Bush Jr. not protecting our borders’? It was on his watch that the intelligence failures leading up to 9/11/2001 and a surge in illegal immigration occurred.

Where is your outrage!

Bush also sent troops down the border but DID NOT KEEP THEM DOWN THERE, which tells me he was more concerned about it as a political issue than a national security issue.

Right.

Those 1500 personnel are clerical and are not "boots on the ground".

Obama is SUING the only state that has tried to enforce federal law. How insane is that? It would take the deployment of two divisions along the border to create any real security.

Let's see Obama actually support, rather than impede, the ability of states to enforce immigration laws. Let's see Obama deploy ADEQUATE military personnel (or deploy the national guard) to garrison the border. Let's see Obama SUPPORT border personnel, rather than prosecute them for doing thier job.

Obama is for the illegals at the expense of Americans, as he wants 30 million new democrats to keep him in power. As with every other Obama policy, he cares only about himself and does not give a rip about America.

Mexican President Felipe Caldero'n has no control of what is going on in his corrupt government, especially in Northern Mexico which of course borders the US.

I'm afraid that the only way to protect this country is to send armed troops there to secure our border. The solders coming back from Iraq are well seasoned and ready to rock and roll. Yes I realize that it is a drastic measure.

Your argument is a joke. Immigration deportation is up across the board. There is no easy citizenship route to lawbreakers, and starting with Reagan, but also including Bush I, and Bush II should all be included in your CEO dirt cheap labor attempt fallacy that fails foolishly.

Desperation...grasping at straws. What's next? Oh yes...failed coup d' etat? Like checkers...we see ya coming a mile away.

Had our borders been CLOSED then those migrants would not have been heading to the US and would most likely not have been slaughtered.

You are correct. And I guess since Bush didn't do it we should sit back and leave the door wide open. That makes the most sense. And since government is now strictly about political agenda the citizens of the US can all go to he77.

We're on the road there now. American citizens don't seem to matter, neither do our laws.
