Either my son's employer lied to his people about this or you are the one who needs to study that abomination of a health insurance reform law.
Your son now? In the post I quoted of your's you said, " Just yesterday my wife told me that
a friend had learned that and was really mad". So which is it your son or your wife?
I forgot to mention, Armando, that when one gets most of his information from Daily and Colbert most of the information is comedic in nature and not always very true. Maybe I should go back and vote yes in this poll.
what's that got to do with anything? You get your news from Stewart and Colbert?
But are those children actually raised by the mother, or are they raised by babysitters and childcare facilities? See, I see that as one of the biggest problems in this country. Mothers are too quick to turn their children over to others so they can go out to work. I would much rather the mother receive some sort of financial assistance at least until the children are in school full time so she is there to actually raise the children. (And, FYI, I did have a husband.)
Sorry, but I was a single mother for 12 years and I raised her. Yes, she was in school/child care until 5:30 and she turned out to be a very kind, loving and beautiful person without any assistance from any one other than me. It has nothing to do with quantity but with quality.

LOL. give him a break.....he's a real old timer. hard to tell the difference between his son and his wife. lol.....well, this one is goin to get me in trouble when he reports it.
old timer, I don't give a flying ef about that. I care about people getting affordable medical care, and ultimately about universal healt care for all. the new healthcare reform is hopefully the first step in that direction so that my kids and grandkids will not have to worry so mcuh about whether or not they can afford and get medical care when needed. however, i do understand that the greediness of those obssessed with materialism and money are those who could not give a flying ef about their fellow American citizens. It's all about MONEY FOR ME, MORE MONEY FOR ME ALL THE TIME, TO HELL WITH OTHER PEOPLE. That right, old timer? btw, what other things has your wife told you lately? lol
I was afraid of just that. Universal health care is the thing we have to have whether the nation can afford it or not. Tax the hell out of the wealthy until the time that there are no longer any of those people around and then just crank up the printing presses.
It is way past time for many people to look into what the next socialistic practice to follow universal health care will be. I really wonder how you can talk about affordable health care and universal health care in the same breath. I guess there are some doctors and nurses who want to be told by some bureaucrat who and how they treat people but not nearly enough of them to provide what you want.
Where did anyone say anything about a drunk late teen?
People keep talking about 18 being a magic age for drinking and voting so I took it for granted that 18 being late teens would qualify for that statement by me. Are those 18 year olds really not teens drunk or sober?

Sorry, but it doesn't get more comedic than Fox News and they aren't even comedians.
I myself am in my 20s and think we are not cut out to make decisions that risk the fate of the country. I know how people my age think and it's scary. Most of my age group is full of wanna be hippies... Free everything, and easy living.
I know there is an exception to this generalization, but for the most part it seems most are not informed enough about long term consequences of their votes.
I'm also in my 20s and I know that most people my age don't even vote. So it's not like it'd really change anything. That said, people in their 20s pay taxes just like everyone else and should have their voices heard.
