A tiny bit of sanity is restored...of course, only in the south...

What are you talking, it happened in the south. How is that sane?

Don't you love how the use of selective information allows you to blow something entirely out of proportion? The flag wasn't the issue, the monstrous flag pole was.

I wonder if he submitted a modification form to the Architectural review committee before he decided to put up the 16' Flag pole on his front lawn.

BridgeMill Community Association - Architectural Review (http://www.bridgemill.org/sub_category_list.asp?category=12&title=Architectu ral+Review - broken link)

Oh, I guess not, he apparently knows the law. From the article:

Quote:
"That's why I didn't even ask for permission because I knew the law," said Tripodo.
The issue wasn't him flying a flag, the issue was a 16' Flag pole he didn't send in a form for. He deserved all the problems that he got.

I have no respect for folks like him. He does not respect his neighbors or the rules he agreed to live by so why should I believe he respects the flag? There are about a million other ways he could do that and this just seems more like a "in your face" douche move on his part.

The issue is not about the Flag. But the rules that needed to be followed. Hate or love the HOA, but they are ususally in place for a reason!

I actually think it is the other way around this time. A Liberal leftist judge ruled against a community that had an established set of rules that this idiot homeowner signed off on when he moved into the neighborhood. Flying the Colors is fine like everyone else of their porch. Erecting a huge flag pole in the front yard? POS A-hole take it down. I'm a RED blood through and through but this case pisses me off. What good are CC&R's if anyone can find and communist judge to overturn them.
