Yes, there has been political extremism by groups such as the Weathermen that used violence to advance their cause.
However, in the current political climate there are far more Conservative extremist groups advocating violence than any other part of the political spectrum.
Where did you see my type anything that called for the dissolving of any political party? I've never advocated such a thing. The Republican Party will eventually implode upon itself if it continues on its current trajectory.
Your earlier list of Conservative extremists was horribly inaccurate. They were not conservatives. They may hold some conservative beliefs but that's about as close as it gets.
Who and where are these Conservative extremists you're speaking of? White supremacists are not and never will be part of any mainstream Conservative movement. They are commonly denounced and reviled.
Time will tell if you're correct in your belief that the Republican Party will eventually implode. Personally I doubt it. Truth be told I'd like to see both parties gone. Neither are in touch with the people they're supposed to represent. Both consistently work to enlarge government at the expense of personal liberty.

Maybe you should have told that to Timothy McVeigh before he decided to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. It was the largest terrorist attack in the country prior to 9/11/2001. McVeigh was a Conservative extremist who advocated the principles of "The Turner Diaries" a book which advocates starting a race war and overthrowing the government of the United States.

If the Republican Party focused more on economic issues, I could consider voting for them. Instead, they appear to be the party of religion, cultural conservatism, and scapegoating: Gays, Muslims, Mexicans, blacks, etc. - every year they've got a new group that they're attacking and blaming for society's problems. I can't support a political party like that.
The Republican party and its followers are becoming more violent, anti-government and extremist, with each passing day. Right Wing radio and television personalities are spewing anti-government, pro-violence and hate propaganda to Right-Wing listeners, in attempts to move them toward taking matters into their own hands to "protect freedom and democracy". This was illustrated recently by the stabbing of a NYC cab driver by a Right-Wing fanatic.

How many illegal aliens have stabbed law abiding citizens in the US to death? The policies of open-borders Progressives are responsible for our borderes not being secure and for a defacto amnesty by ICE right now. Therefore, since Democrats control Congress and the White House, aren't Democrats and other Progressives a threat to national security?

My point is that Timotry McVeigh identified enough with the poltical philosophy of the Republican Party he CHOOSE to register to vote as a Republican. That meant on some level he agreed with the Republican Party and its stance on some issues.
Unless you know every member of the Republican Party you have no way of knowing how many people that identify as Conservatives or Republcians agreed with his actions.

The media and the Clinton administration were falling all over each other trying to connect the bombers to a right wing faction. I don't think there is anything more dangerous than the progressive left in this country.

George Bush was accused of far worse than Clinton ever was. And at least Clinton had the press on his side for most of his presidency.
Bush has/was accused of committing murder in Iraq. Clinton was nevr accused of this in Bosnia, Kosovo or Iraq.
Bush was accused of letting 9-11 happen. Clinton was never accused of letting any terrorist attack happen.
Bush was accused of purposely not sending FEMA into N.O. to let people die. Even though it took Clinton just as long to get FEMA deployed during his presidency.
Those are just a few examples. Bush was treated far, far worse than Clinton.
Of course, none of them (Bush, Clinton or Obama) has been treated as harshly and as unfairly as Sarah Palin has been by the left.

Too bad that dude in Iraq did not hit Bush when he threw his shoes! He was making a statement of outrage for all the civilians killed in Iraq. Bush is lucky it was just a pair of shoes being used as a missile!
