Of MLK's speeches? Equality.

As for Beck, his biggest imperfection is that he's conned the people he's supposed to be fighting for, not his past substance abuses

So honor and respect don't go hand and hand? All I said was a person can change there life. That's been my whole point this whole thread. How is that derailing it. Again honor and respect are the same in my book.

I don't care if he was a drug addict or not. All I care about is that he's a hypocrite and a trend-exploiting charlatan. Suddenly he's jumped on the uber-Christian bandwagon. Whatever.

But this thread was about his substance abuses and that's what i was defending. I think equality goes along with honor and respect.

Who said anything about not respecting drug addicts? I said it's ironic that a recovering addict would preach about honor. If you inferred disrespect from that observation, well that's on you.

No, again, I don't know if he was an adulterer, but if he was, I don't care, just as I didn't care if Clinton was. Just out of curiosity, what do you think of MLK? How do you rate him in relation to other American leaders and importance?

I think MLK was a great man. He preached love and not supremacy. I think his importance was over rated though. Men like Fredrick Douglas were much more important. George Washington is the most important.

Does Glenn Beck really take up this much of you folk's time? You've commented on virtually all of the threads that even remotely relate to him or this rally. That says more about your obsession than anything implied about Beck himself.
