Hmmm a country where livestock is more valued than a wife???
What did those animals do to these young boys to twist them so?

Reminds me of the Pashtun boy in The Kite Runner (fictional character) who was forced to "perform services" for an older male. I thought it was just a story line, but maybe there are some societal/cultural truisms to the story.

Oh barf....

Years of living under that cultural construct have greatly altered sexual attitudes, the study said. "One of the country's favorite sayings is 'women are for children, boys are for pleasure," the report noted.

For crying out loud, this is embedded (no pun intended) in Pashtun culture. The people writing these reports act like this is some kind of sex tourism going on, rather than their preferred method of socializing young males to cultural norms. The fact that people in the west find it yucky is really not that important to them.

Male pederasty was popular there long before the coalition arrived and will be around long after they are gone.

While "fixated" pedophiles are generally ONLY attracted to children (of either sex) and NOT adults, "regressed" pedophiles usually have an adult sexual orientation but sexually abuse children, both boys and girls, in a more opportunistic way as a substitute for sex with an adult woman.

According to most studies in this field, as well as surveys of child molestors, most men who sexually abuse children (either boys or girls) are heterosexual.

(see studies by reseachers like A. Nicholas Groth, Carole Jenny etc)
"Homosexuality and homosexual pedophilia are not synonymous. In fact, it may be that these two orientations are mutually exclusive, the reason being that the homosexual male is sexually attracted to masculine qualities whereas the heterosexual male is sexually attracted to feminine characteristics, and the sexually immature child’s qualities are more feminine than masculine. . . . The child offender who is attracted to and engaged in adult sexual relationships is heterosexual. It appears, therefore, that the adult heterosexual male constitutes a greater sexual risk to underage children than does the adult homosexual male." A. Nicholas Groth
Also, Heterosexual men have been raping other men for thousands of years as a way of humiliating and controlling them.

Remember the story of Sodom in the Torah (Old Testament)?

The National Center for Victims of Crime (http://www.ncvc.org/ncvc/main.aspx?dbName=DocumentViewer&DocumentID=32361 - broken link)

Male Rape

"Historically, the rape of males was more widely recognized in ancient times. Several of the legends in Greek mythology involved abductions and sexual assaults of males by other males or gods. The rape of a defeated male enemy was considered the special right of the victorious soldier in some societies and was a signal of the totality of the defeat. There was a widespread belief that a male who was sexually penetrated, even if it was by forced sexual assault, thus "lost his manhood," and could no longer be a warrior or ruler. Gang rape of a male was considered an ultimate form of punishment and, as such, was known to the Romans as punishment for adultery and the Persians and Iranians as punishment for violation of the sanctity of the harem."

....

"Gang rape is more common in cases involving male victims than those involving female victims."
....

"Rape and sexual assault are crimes of violence and are used to exert power and control over another person."
....

"Neither sexual desire nor sexual deprivation is the primary motivating force behind sexual assault. It is not about sexual gratification, but rather a sexual aggressor using somebody else as a means of expressing their own power and control."

....

"However, male sexual assault has nothing to do with the sexual orientation of the attacker or the victim, just as a sexual assault does not make the victim survivor gay, bisexual or heterosexual. It is a violent crime that affects heterosexual men as much as gay men. The phrase "homosexual rape," for instance, which is often used by uninformed persons to designate male-male rape, camouflages the fact that the majority of the rapists are not generally homosexual."

The article cites concern that the abuse these young boys suffer at the hands of these adult men will mold their beliefs regarding sexuality. Seems they agree with the behaviorist Erik Erikson who says that sexual identity is a learned behavior (stage 5 Identity Vs. Role Confusion) Erik Erikson Stages of Development . I guess not everyone bought in to the APA's politically correct revisionism.
Oh good grief, not Erikson again. You're STILL completely misunderstanding and misapplying Erikson's Stages of Development.

This might clear it up for you (again):
"The exploration of a sexual identity occurs within the context of the "presumption of heterosexuality" (Herdt 1989) that exists in American culture. Heterosexual adolescents spend little or no time considering their sexual identity as anything but heterosexual. However, the same is not true for homosexual adolescents. In American culture the homosexual is often degraded and stigmatized. This cultural context makes forming a sexual identity for the homosexual adolescent more challenging than for the heterosexual adolescent.

Following the pattern of identity development in general, homosexual adolescents may experience a period of confusion and exploration before accepting and committing to their homosexual identity. Adolescents who do not complete this process may feel isolated and guilty. This can lead to increased drug and alcohol abuse or even suicidal thoughts (Mondimore 1996). Regardless of orientation, the development of a clear sexual identity is important for the transition to Erikson's early adulthood stage of intimacy versus isolation."

There has been considerable research done in developmental psychology since Erikson in the 1950's.

You might want to consider updating your knowledge by about 60 years.

There's only one thing to be done with sick civilizations like that: avoid them. Ignore them. And stop sending American soldiers and taxpayer dollars over there, no matter how rich it makes the crooks at Halliburton et al.

I swear, if we could develop a biological weapon that would kill only those with IQ's below 90 who have no ethics, America would find herself without a single politician at the local, state or regional levels.

And the world would be amazed at how much prosperity would erupt here, without government stealing and destroying it all.

Since IQ=100 is the median, a society that has been steadily mis-educated may have collectively dropped below the previous generation's median level.
You may find that 99% of the electorate would be gone... with yourself among them.
