Anytime their religion spills outside their homes and Mosque, I am ready to force them back. I do not cut them any slack. When nutty Christians try the same thing, I am ready to force them back too. If that means I have to give up a day off to escort women into the abortion clinic or fight their attempts to put prayer and "Creation Science" in my kid's classrooms, I will. And if the Muslims try it, they will meet the same result. But I am not going to tell any religion where and where not they can build a church and worship whatever God they believe in.

He is like a spoiled brat on the radio screaming and crying if things don't go his way, threatening to "leave the country" if things don't go his way (I would happily buy the man a one way ticket) and calling people- even the President- childish names. The FACTS are not something you will hear from him. He cannot debate anybody with a brain which is why he hangs up on every caller that disagrees with him. He hung up on me too a few years ago.

This is the perfect example of fear, and ignorance, breeding hate and irrationality.
Many Muslim families have lived in this country as law abiding citizens peacefully going about their daily lives for generations. In fact I'd gather that a large number of Americans never paid them a second thought until 9/11/2001.
If time has taught us anything is that the most shameful chapters in history are all marked by the same thing; hate, ignorance, fear and bigotry. At one time we interned Japanese-Americans in concentration like camps at the same time Japanese-American soldiers were serving and dying for this country in World War II. We look back on the treatment of those individuals now with shame and regret. The only people that feel differently have already lost their souls to hatred and ignorance.
Let's NOT write another shameful chapter in American history. This nation was built on the ideals embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution has progressed as our nation has progressed. Do we really as Americans want to regress and take out parts of the Constitution based on a certain religion? Who gets to decide that and which portion of the population gets excluded next and for what reason? And if we keep doing this will we even live in America anymore but some sort of religiously or racially based distortion driven by whatever people hate or fear next?
Is that the America YOU want to live in?
I could almost buy that, except the CONS and the Dec of IND have been so violated by the Feds i have to say give it back first.

I believe this will show come Nov. If I am wrong then we are in the same problem that caused Rome to fall, and we will fall for the same reasons from with in.
In the so far 2 years of obama we have gone back to pre 1930 racism levels, and headed back deeper and to much uglier levels each day and with crooks like Sharpton and his ilk pushing for it. The outcome is certain to be ugly.

I recall a lot of planes blown from the sky with civilians. If it is true that building a Mosque near Gound Zero is to promote tolerance then I propose to test that tolerance by announcing the opening of a gay nightclub next door to the mosque. I suggest two names for the club to fit with the neighbor---"The Turban Cowboy", and "You Mecca Me Hot". Either should be a good test of the tolerance of its next door members.
Later, I would announce a specialty butcher shop aptly named "The Hog-Wild World of Pork," to be located on the opposite side of the mosque. Hams, Chops, and Loins to be displayed in the windows.
Across the street, facing the mosque, there would be women's specialty store that only sells and displays thongs, bras, and other ladies lingerie worn by live models in the windows and entrance doors. The shop would have a full range of magazines to include Playboy, Hustler and others to serve the test.
This would not, mind you, and I mean would not, be a provocation. It would merely be a means to test the tolerance of those who are proposing the mosque as a tribute to their honest answers about the specific mosque location.
"Ideas" like this serve mainly to prove that the authors have never been to New York City.

I always get a kick out of it when someone uses this line. My mother was saying this about the communists when I was a little girl. I'm 52 now. I guess it's always been applicable to the "group-of-the-moment-to-hate". I bet that "We are Rome and we will fall from within" line has been used somewhere against some group since shortly after Rome fell.
