Third, most White Americans can talk about race but very few have experienced the level of racism many Black Americans have faced. In others word in most cases White Americans talk about race from the perspective of the racism from the outside looking in. Most Black Americans talk about racism from the inside looking out. The two often completely different perspectives make common ground often difficult to find.
Fourth many White Americans are extremely reluctant about discussing the history of race and how it affects the current dynamics of race in America today. Some don’t even want to know the history. Many White Americans believe these past events have no effect on the social and economic conditions Black Americans face today.
Fifth even if race and racism are discussed hardly any White Americans want to discuss the issue of White Privilege and how it affects the social and economic dynamics in America today.

Damm man! You really told the truth here especially in the bold print. This stuff effects me at my job everyday. I just wish everyone was treated like a number. I know people may not agree, but our resumes should be our SSN and not our names. We should never fill out our race\gender on job applications or when applying for promotions. I work in IT and I hate dealing with humans especially speaking with them, because of the racial challenges. Quite often white people think they have to right to question my expertise at the job and the indians and blacks almost never do. Its a really weird dynamic and its very frustrating. Sometimes when I vent my frustrations to managers they like to hint that if I dont like it to find another place to work, but my white counterparts dont deal with that so why should I? The white techs that I have trained get less questions and interrogations people just automatically assume because they are white, they know what they are talking about. I dont think anyone here other than black people can understand what I am talking about, but if you work in corporate america you should be familiar.
