I never said tax china. I said tax businesses that take jobs to china. tax the crap out of imported goods. that's not a tax on china, it's a tax on places like wal mart. it's an idea any good liberal could get behind. however, then prices at wal mart might go up, which would probably infuriate the average liberal. I'm going to laugh when these so called tax breaks for the "rich" expire, and people spend even less money. obama acts as if people will gladly accept higher taxes. he's not the brightest bulb in the knife drawer.

I'm looking at the reality of our situation. Cut the spending. Stop the Tax Breaks for the rich.

Well during the Clinton Administration when the rich were paying what their taxes is going back to in January. America was doing fine, plus we had a Surplus!

Trust me the last president was dimmer.

Infact I betcha he uses a screwdriver to unscrew a light bulb.

The thread was CAN A LAW BE RACIST, in a word yes.
Inter Racial Marriage Laws lasted until 1967, hardly Ancient Greece.
The Japanese were interned in the 1940s, not that ancient

The internment of Japanese was not based upon RACE but upon whom we were at war against during WWII. If you will recall your history Italians and Germans were also sent to US Government internment camps.

Don't some states still have laws against interracial marriages and adoptions? There have been lots of laws over the past 200 years that were racist in nature starting with the laws that allowed people to be slave owners. I can't believe anyone even needs to ask this question.

There are some laws that disproportionately affect minorities. For example if crack cocaine is used mostly in minority communities and laws against crack cocaine possession are more severe than for powdered cocaine that is more often used by other groups then there is de facto discrimination against those that use crack cocaine. Many states have changed their laws based on this.

The crack laws were not made to be racist. I do agree it is stupid how much more time you can get for crack as opposed to powder. However crack hood were always much more dangerous. Crack led to insane violence and meyhem. In queens a cop got shot sitting in his car. That's when the laws started
