This is the renderings I have seen but since they have not raised funds yet this could change.

Plan for mosque near World Trade Center site moves ahead

Perhaps the correct way to say it would be that the mosque meets in the existing building.

As far as I know, they only need to take down the building that housed the former Burlington Coat Factory store, which is where they meet.

If that poll is about New Yorkers, then I pretty much think the people from the hinterlands are NOT included, lol.

I have seen different polls that say different things (about New York itself). For example, according to one poll, Staten Island is overwhelmingly opposed to the mosque, while Manhattan is more widely unopposed.

You've also got to take into consideration who is being polled and who is sponsoring/paying for the polling, which is why I don't take too much stock in polls.

Based on what I am gathering from personal conversations, the Staten Island=against and Manhattan=for/don't care poll sounds pretty accurate.

How many have you polled? Ten of each?

I never said I "polled" anyone. I work in an office full of 9/11 WTC survivors. I work with hundreds of people who are working on the World Trade Center reconstruction. I've got a poster with the faces of more than 80 dead coworkers on my office wall, people you all are claiming to be speaking for, but you didn't know them. We did. This is the neighborhood where we spend our days. We sometimes get lunch at the place next to the mosque. You think WE haven't been discussing this amongst ourselves? Keep your polls.
