With the disasterous roll out of Obamacare and an anticipated 100 million citizens losing thier current insurance just prior to election time 2014 with the employer mandate, it appears as though the law, as it is, will be repealed or significantly altered. The impetus will come mostly from democrats, fearing massive retaliation from angry voters who have lost thier insurance.

However, even if Obamacare proceeds in any fashion, the exchange plans offer significant reductions in physician reimbursement for services, often well below medicare rates. Our large multi-specialty clinic, which is the "800 lb gorilla" for healthcare in our town, is not going to accept Obamacare patients, given these reductions (we would lose money on every patient). I do not know of any practice in our community that is planning to accept Obamacare patients. We are busy enough as it is and I personally cut back on patient slots, as I was too busy (time is better than money).

So................................ if Obamacare proceeds, who is going to see these patients?
