1) He doesn't want to stop the illegal immigration
2) He releases illegal immigrants from jail so that they can become citizens
3) He wants to crack down on workplaces that hire illegal aliens
4) He doesn't want to deport them
So he wants a bunch of illegal aliens in the country with no job?? I am having a hard time understanding that logic?? Where are they going to get food? Pay the bills? He doesn't want them to return to their country cause he refuses to deport them... he wants them to all stay but not have jobs?? That doesn't make any sense.... I think he really wants to keep them here and give them jobs and try to mislead people that he is cracking down on workplace hiring of illegal immigrants... does he think he can mislead people on that?
I don't really know either. Maybe he wants to make it so uncomfortable that they just stop coming here, or leave. Or maybe he wants them dependent on government handouts. It's a mystery.
He's like most all politicians on the issue and won't touch it. If he calls for amnesty, he will be abandoning the core of the democrats and lose votes. If he calls for anti amnesty, he'll be abandoning the liberal and minorities, losing votes.
