In case you didn't read about it in the tiny amount of coverage it received, a group of 4 young Christian people were arrested last June at the Arab festival in Dearborn. Evidently, it is now illegal to preach Christianity to Muslims.

The cops claim they were disturbing the peace, but their videos prove the cops were lying. Besides, since when is it against the law to offend Muslims with your free speech?

I don't know if it is more amazing that this happened in America or that nobody seems to care.

If the video proves that they weren't distrubing the peace then the question is not the arrest, IT'S THE OUTCOME OF THE CASE.

Here's an update on this story:

Judge declines to dismiss charges in case stemming from Arab Fest - News - Press and Guide

My favorite quote from the article:

"at approximately 8:30 p.m. June 18, Dearborn police officers received a complaint, from a Christian volunteer working the festival, regarding members of Acts 17 Apologetics harassing and intimidating patrons of the festival and that a large crowd was gathering."

Their video clearly shows the cops are lying. Besides, so what. Since when is it illegal to go to a festival held on public streets and talk to people about your beliefs?

Is there a double standard for Muslims?

Here is one of many videos

There were other Christian groups at the festival that were allowed to "preach Christianity" that were not arrested or shutdown. This is a case about were and how. This is not the first year that this group has violated the festival's rules.

What other public gatherings restrict free speech to given areas? Did anyone watch the videos? They were clearly doing nothing illegal.

"Arabs" can be Christian too - so there should be absolutely no problem with Christians at an "Arab" festival.

If Muslims can't handle being exposed to other religions, then they should consider relocating themselves back to their Islamic paradises. No one is forcing them to come here.

The Muslims aren't special - just like everyone else, they can have Jehovah Witnesses and whoever else showing up on their doorsteps trying to convert them - if they don't like it, they can leave.
