Bank of America's Overseas Workforce Has Grown Sharply

The economic stimulus package signed into law in February makes it harder for banks to hire foreign workers who come to the U.S. on visas, but it doesn't have any specific restrictions on offshoring. In January, Rep. Sue Myrick, a Charlotte Republican, won House approval of a provision that bans government-funded banks from outsourcing any new call center jobs to foreign-based companies. But that bill hasn't passed the Senate.

As near as I can tell B o A is insolvent. ( Investment research | Front Page - Reggie is Taking 48 Hours Off September 3rd, 2010 by Reggie Middleton I’m seeing my el this person has some good info on banks as well as other things.) So the out sourcing isn't going to be permanent.

and why do these people lack education? the reason is that they themselves did not take advantage of the educational opportunities offered them. many of them complained that high school was too hard, or too boring, and they decided to drop out. and yes i listened to these kinds of people all the time when i was in school. most of them were just plain losers who would rather get high and do nothing than apply themselves.

there were a few that had to leave school to help the family, and i sympathize with them, but most of those went back to school and still made something of themselves.

this country has been fighting a war on poverty since the 60's, and yet with all the social spending being done, no progress has been made. there are still poor people in this country because they refuse to do what is necessary to make something of themselves.

in the far past it was true that many lacked real opportunity to get ahead, but these days opportunity is all over the place, one just needs to apply themselves.

Comprehension and understanding, I see, are not your strong suits.
I would venture to say you've never been down and out. If you had , you would have a little more compassion, and a lot less generalized anger. Because it's obvious to me, and I'm positive plenty of others as well, that this incessant ranting of yours is of no merit. There are no studies in this area to verify an actual percentage of those that lose it all. Nobody wants to finance that. But there is a guide for people that do win to help with their decision making after a big win...

You just won the lottery!

So why not be helper instead of a hater? There's enough of that in the world already.

I've spent a great deal of my life down and out. where's the anger, I am merely pointing out what the statistics show. hate yahoo instead of me. compassion breeds laziness.

CEO speaking to the vice president Anderson, and upper management for the company....

CEO~ "so Mr Anderson , what are this months profit results"?

Mr Anderson~ "profit is down 10% from last month, 30% from last year.

CEO~ "well Mr Anderson, you job is to produce profit results, if you can't I'll find somebody who will, I don't want to hear we are down, I don't care how you do it but show me results"

Next months meeting....

CEO~ "well Mr Anderson, what are this months statistics?"

Mr Anderson~ "sir, profit is up 20% from last month and the numbers are on track to be above last years numbers, we are doing better than last year".

CEO~ "good job Mr Anderson, I might consider a bonus for you".

Jim, one of the managers~ "Anderson how did you do it, bring up the numbers"?

Anderson~ "Jim I fired Mike, John and Eric and the remaining employees will pick up their extra work but without overtime of course". I also fired Roger the janitor guy and hired a illegal who will do the job for half". All this will increase profit for the company by saving expenses and get me my bonus".

------------------------------------------------------

Mike talking to his neighbor Terry.....

Mike~ I got laid of, lost my health insurance, my son developed a life threatening condition and the medical doctors are placing liens on my assets and I might loose the house. Worked for that company 15 years, the house is half paid off and I might loose everything I worked for now. Been trying to get a job but nobody is hiring. For the first time ever I accepted a welfare handout but right now I have no choice.

Terry~ wow tough break man, I'll pray for ya. Next time I go the store I'll buy ya a loaf of bread to help man. Here is $20 , go get your kid a toy to help him feel better. If you need anything just ask. The local church has some canned food and used clothes if you need any.

------------------------------------

Mr Anderson happens to like to chat on forums in his free time, politics is one of his interests.

Mr Anderson~ "oh we are discussing welfare? Let me tell you what I think. America is the land of opportunity The government local or state or otherwise has no right to take my money and prop up some charity or welfare. It ain't my problem what happens to someone else, I do for myself and always have, never asked nothing from nobody. it ain't right to take a few dollars out of my pay and give it to some lazy good for nothing who won't get a job. Life is tough and sometimes not fair so get with the program."

Mr Anderson~ "oh we are talking about morals now? Let me tell you what I think. Morals are decaying in this country. Too many gawd damn people out for themself and don't care about others. I go to church every Sunday and if more people would listen to the word of Jesus this country might not be going to hell in a hand basket. Too many gawd damn people free loading, sitting on their arse expecting a hand out when they should be working. If it were up to me I end all social programs including local and state. Too many people expecting something from America when they should be sacrificing for their country. No one respects each other anymore. It is all me me me in their mind. Gawd damn socialists trying to take over, if they would get a job and work hard they wouldn't be poor and they would have a house and health insurance".
