A completely ridiculous idea. Is that all the Left and dems can think of? Create another federal agency to administer and distribute their bad liberal ideas.

Just another example of how obama thinks the American electorate is stupid.

This new "bank" and regulatory authority is the heart and soul of the so called new "jobs bill".

Just what we need - a new Government Bank and new regulatory authority with shining new Czar and huge staff. They think we (and small business owners) are stupid. I guess they are correct - we elected this bunch of thieves to rule over us.

The 'party of NO' will have to ride to the rescue again - they should proudly display that banner. This particular bill is a disaster. The "tax break" business has passed in 8 bills since the Big O took power - how is that hopeychange thing working out so far?

Anyone better off today than they were in November of 2006 when the Dems and Queen Nancy took control of the House? How about since Duke Harry took control of the Senate? This is not rocket science.

I think it shows that Obama is pretty stupid. The latest polls show that 70% of the American public do not want another stimulus package. After the debacle of the last stimulus you would think that Obama would be intelligent enough to see that it failed miserable and infuriated the U.S citizens. Unbelievable.

Might this be the "First National Bank of the Government" ?

LOL..don't bother nationalizing the banks..just create one !
Think of all the new jobs it can create....

And that $50 billion is just a frontload fund to the bill behind it..$350 billion over 6 years....

All this infrastructure work is oil intensive..what happened to all the "green" work to get us OFF oil.
Fixing roads, rails, airport runways is just keeping the status quo.

Did you even read that article? I think it describes hiring workers with the $50 B to fund the building of infrastructures. I don't think they are talking about a literal "bank". Anyways it seems kinda like a dumb idea... hopefully Obama has better plans for this workforce than to build roads. We need jobs and infrastructure in renewable energy/resources.

Maybe it's just me (or my calculator), but I was never of the opinion that $35 Billon worth of hardhats on the side of the road (Stimuli #1) would pull us out of this mess, so it goes without saying that I certainly don't think that another measely $50 Billion will do the trick either.

It will be good for a few roads and a few jobs. That's it.
