I'm thinking of celebrating by going to Wal-Mart and buying a ton of stuff so I can exploit - uh, I mean, support - some of the low-wage labor they use.
Yep I paid into those tax deductible dues for 40 years, the ribs are worth it too!
Save me some... Eat till your heart's content.

Your problem. Let those who get them live. You must be retired. Who's lazy now?

Whether it's "sick days", paid vacations, or strike benefits...or, for that matter, unemployment benefits, I think it's all an entitlement mentality. I deserve this because...
and that's where the logic stops...why do you deserve it unless you EARN it by working? You're not earning it while you're NOT working.
Again, that's your problem. Tell your boss you don't want time off, and tell him to give that money to someone else who appreciates paid time off. How about that?

Vegetables don't stop growing because of "holidays".
Thanks for keeping veggies fresh on my table every evening.
(Hope you didn't use pesticides)
>>>> Is this a shot against unions or management, or both? My guess is both.
It's a shot against anyone who isn't productive, but wants to be paid anyway. People taking sick days, people on strike, retired people, lazy people that don't do any work but still want to be paid for their hours.
I guess the latter could apply to management, unless they're a working manager sho gets in there and works right alongside their employees instead of watching them work.
I got completely drunk and crashed a wedding party. Took shots with the bride and groom
Twas a good labor day weekend!
