A republican takeover will change nothing. Our country has serious problems that run much deeper than just "Democrats suck/are awesome, but Republicans suck/are awesome."

Yeah, I dont know that obama is as smart politically as Clinton was....he has not shown it so far any how. He could either continue to force his warped ideology , American public be damned, or wiser heads in the dems congress could actually take control.

Really? so if republicans were in power would congress have passed a 1 Trillion dollar health care bill? The answer is No! If they have total control will they repeal it ? Yes......that is changing something!

And then what would we have? Record high unemployment, possibility of a double-dip recession, a war on two fronts with only a slight end in sight, a healthcare system that still sucks, and an awful economy that keeps bleeding cash?

Oh but we'll have a Republican congress. So we'll have all of the above with maybe some tax breaks and anti-flag burning amendments proposed instead of healthcare bills and wasteful spending stimulus packages.

Well considering the policy of the one war that he "ended" was purposed by Bush... That other took the form of the latter, or don't you recognize "Petraus" and "surge"?

If the GOP takes over, Obama might be forced to turn into Clinton #2, governing from the center.

My point is we would not have 1 trillion dollars in spending that we do now. That is significant!

I would be happy if all the Republicans did is vote NO on everything and take a 2 year vacation. We need to stop the wreckless spending before anything else is done.

Either way if they pick up seats or not, it's going to be same outcome. Republicans are going to continue to be the party of "NO", even more so if they pick up some seats, leading to absolutely nothing getting done and the country falling even more into the s**t pile. In 2012 republicans will pull the "gotcha!" saying obama and the dems are a failure and can't get anything done. The dems will show how the party of "NO" blocked everything from jobs creation, helping small business, unemployment, everything. The real concern is the right have no one to run against Obama. It's the same tired faces on the right, and Palin would be a big gift to the left with a bow on top. The right have gone so far right and extreme in the past few years while giving them a temporary boost, will later lead to their implosion and demise for a LONG time to come. Like it or not, the dems aren't going anywhere until 2016
