Clearly, this was long overdue. Now the next "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy to be felled is Christians having to keep religious belief to themselves in the public school system.

Woot! Another win for freedom and liberty!

Thank you to the Log Cabin Republicans for challenging the policy.

Will the Obama Administration appeal this decision? I believe they will be pressured (and maybe even obligated) to do so.

No. They can already tell people what they believe, they just can not preach to them. Nice try though.

I don't know why Obama just can't stand up for what is right and refuse to defend this ruling just as schwarz and jerry brown did so in calif.

I think it's a bit pathetic that it took a gay Republican organization to get this ruling while Democrats and the Obama Administration did little or nothing to repeal the policy. Ironically, it's generally Republicans who will be more upset by this decision than Democrats.

What bothers me about the above article is it's written as if the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy was created by our nation's military. One needs to go back to the early part of President Clinton's first term in office to see who created the policy.
