I can't believe this whole burning the Koran is such a big deal that Obama and Sarah Palin had to come out and speak against it. Seriously? It is NOT a big deal. So the Pastor wants to light them on fire? Who gives a ****! If this was a burn Bible or Vedas day, no one would care to this extreme. But for this pastor, there is a price for his head all ready!
The Muslims DANCED in our streets when 9/11 happened. Anyone forget that? They constantly threaten us and want to pass their pathetic Sharia Law wherever they can. We allow Korans here. We do not BAN them unlike some Muslims countries. They would probably burn the Bible, Vedas, Guru Granth Sahib if they ever considering other faiths in some of their countries.
We should not be hateful towards Muslims because some do want to live peaceful and RESPECT the USA but at the same time, why are we Americans being portrayed as intolerant and hateful? I walked into McDonalds today and on the news, they are trying to show Muslims in a victim sympathetic view. Uh...HELLO!? Do you think they ever show us in a victim sympathetic view? When will Americans be right for once?
We are burning the Koran. We are expressing our feelings which is our RIGHT. We draw Muhammed and burn the Korans. We aren't hurting anyone. They do suicide bombings and terrorist attacks in other countries. I have seen prophets of other religions drawn in funny ways and doing funny things and none of the other religions complain. But draw Muhammed and they will try to behead you.
I used to be those people who would defend Muslims and try to understand them. But after going to school in Dearborn, Michigan (Dearborn, Michigan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) that has the biggest Muslim population in the USA, I changed. I see how they act here. They tried to ban pork and whatever they find as wrong. I see how they praises Hasan after the Fort Hood shoot out.
And to the people who bend over backwards to defend Muslims, don't think that once they are the majority, they will do the same for you. Because they won't. They don't give a crap about freedom. I am someone who is for womens rights and gay rights, so how can I be all pro Islam? I can't. Once again, I do realize that not all Muslims are like this. A few won't do anything but once they are together like in Dearborn, they become a threat. The FBI had to raid down here and there is always something Islam-terrorist happening.
I am ready for the angry comments and name calling because this is absolute RUBBISH!! If they wanted to burn the Bible or Vedas, the Christians and Hindus wouldnt go crying for their heads!!!

i dont believe in burning books, especially religious books, for one good reason, the publicity for both sides of the debate. this idiot pastor that wants to burn the koran is only looking for publicity, in fact he has said that he would not burn the books if the president called him personally and asked him not to. and the muslims are looking for publicity by gettin all up in arms about the burning of their sacred text.
but instead of the koran or other religious tomes, lets make it about something that probably should be burned, say child pornography. burning that crap only makes those that are on the fence want to check out why this stuff is being burned, so it only adds to the publicity by creating a market.
the best thing would have been for this damn pastor to shut the hell up about burning the books if he really wanted to, and just burn them, or not do it and never say he was going to.

The norm today is for the left to ally with the Islamic jihadists because they think they can use Islam to bash Christianity. Sadly it would be the libs who would be the first ones to be beheaded if Sharia ever became the law of the land in the US.
Yeah, no other group would be threatening violence like the Muslims and at the same time claiming victim status. All we need now is that guy holding up the sign saying “Death to those who say Islam is a violent religion”.
I would generally never be pro burning any book or doing ANYTHING that may put the troops at risk but I have to agree with the OP on this. The Imam had agreed to move the site of the Mosque and backed off as soon as the pastor said the Koran wouldn't be burned. Donald Trump tried to buy the property for the site at a 25% profit to the property owners and was turned down. This is definately a power play by the Muslims or they wouldn't be so adamant about this. If they can scare us and make us back down over burning the Koran, how long before they are making other demands regarding their religious freedom? IMO, this is just the beginning and if we back down now it won't stop.
