EFFING BREAK! Sure it's not "rich" but $250K in America will still earn you a very comfortable standard of living considering most Americans make FAR less than that. I agree that these people should not be taxed unfairly and the government needs to go after the celebs, athletes, and rich fooks like Bill Gates and CEO of companies who are making millions of millions hand over fist but don't sit there and act like we should feel sorry for those people making $250K when poverty is going up in America. This country is fast becoming a banana republic. Even the rich are too stupid to realize that it seems like.

Even in the third world state of Kaifornia $250K will provide you with an above average standard of living.

Earnings does not automatically translate to wealth. I think it is sad that so many people buy into the Communist class warefare mantras when opportunity exists for them if they would save more, work harder, get more education, and make money work for them while they are working to earn money. Take ownership for your financial future instead of stealing the financial future of others, please.

250 is not wealthy, especially in a large city. It's a very comfortable living if you live within those means, don't try to keep up with others, and you could possibly BUILD wealth of you are good at investing and such. You certainly cannot compare 250 to Gates or Buffet types.

So no, 250 is not wealthy, not even rich.

Oh please...........communist class warfare? What is this the 1950's buddy? Gimme a break! There are PLENTY of hard working Americans that save, are educated, and make their money work for them hoping to retire by 65 years old and they hardly make $250K a year. Are you saying all the teachers, nurses, engineers, scientists, accountants, are all undereducated, spend thrifts, who can't save? Of course earnings does not automatically translate to wealth. That wasn't the point genius. You can make a million dollars and spend yourself into debt. The point was this $250K number is thrown around as if it's some sort average American salary and we should all feel sorry for people that make it. The average American middle class salary is far less. But most of the middle class must now be the dumb, undereducated, debtors according to your view right

And let me flip it for you..........as many people who you claim to be middle class or poor who aren't responsible, educated, or hardworking enough..........well there are PLENTY of rich who don't deserve a penny of the money that they have stolen, cheated, manipulated, or inherited away from others. But you're probably of the camp that believes there is nothing wrong for one human being to earn $30 million a year. And we wonder why America is in the situation it is in. And by the way don't coem at me with your pseudocapitalist bullcrap. I've read Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations and everything by John Locke..............so I'm well versed in what REAL capitalism should be...........America hasn't had real capitalism....since.............well NEVER! State corporatism i.e. fascism has been ruling this country for 60+ years. So much for how great capitalism is eh?

It's simple. You scale down your business so long as the tax rate remains high. Lay off a few workers and intentionally keep profits low enough to stay at the lower tax rates. Just wait it out, and go on vacation some more.

It's not enough that progressives want to tax the uber-wealthy. They want to tax JimJoeBob's coffeeshop on Main St. at a higher tax rate just because he's been able to provide a valuable service to the community. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

You are looking at all of these people as if they are an employee, and their take home pay is $250k.

Someone who owns a small business and files as a Sub Chapter S will put all their business income on their tax returns. It may look like a lot of money, but once they pay employees, and expenses, they may actually be living off $70k a year.

$250k seems like a pretty high annual salary to me, there are plenty of executives/doctors/lawyers who makes less.
