Does the US prop up India's economy and fortify its military with our taxpayer money to the extent we do with Israel?

What does the US have to do with international media attention or the UN?
I'm merely pointing out the double standard, that if Israel had done this, the UN would have met and condmened Israel and all international media would be focused on the story..

It's all over the web.

But, people are too busy trying to find articles where Christians are running from Lebanon.

You're completely missing the OP's main point. If it were Israel, there would be stern condemnations from acroos the globe, the UN Security Council would be in emergency session, and there would be a resolution of condemnation from the UN "Human Rights" Council which would then send an investigative team with the purpose of confirming the condemnation.
Double standard.
The flotilla incident of a few months ago is a great example. Immediate condemnations galore. Declared guilty bys the UN without evidence. Now it turns out that the evidence strongly points to the Turkish Islamists as the culprits.

This has been going on for 60 years.

Yes.

And no.

Does the UN jump the gun too fast on Israel? Yep. Do they slam them unnecessarily? Yep.
Is it all over the air in the States? yep. And that is all that you see. Then it is back to whatever hooligan tricks whatever politician is up to and the Lohan drama. There is no followup.

But I ask you, there are maybe 10-15 on this board that do international politics, how often do we discuss the violence in Kashmir? What we discuss here and what is discussed in other countries is often very different especially in regards to foreign policy or even specific events.

In the case of the flotilla, has there been a conversation on Haneen Zoabi here? Did anybody know that an Israeli solider got popped for looting? Did anyone realize that Turkey turned in a report of their own investigation?

At some point our conversations must begin to go beyond: Israel BAD, Palestinian GOOD. And even now, we are not even discussing the events but the reactions.

How about little report of Lebanon killing Fatah a al-Islam militant leader. He was a Palestinian.

Lebanon 'kills Fatah al-Islam militant leader' - Patriotic Resistance (http://www.resistnet.com/forum/topics/lebanon-kills-fatah-alislam - broken link)

BBC News - Profile: Fatah al-Islam

It must have been ok since Israelis didn't do it.

Is this some sort of lame defense for the actions of Israel?
