Once again, they're both using emotionalism to swindle The People out of their votes.
Trust me, nobody is excited about Boehner except President Obama who wants to make him a fake issue. Democrats control the House, Senate and the White House. The only thing that's obstructing them is their own policies and fellow Democrats who won't play so they can be re-elected.

Interesting responses, but in regards to health care costs increasing, are you really that naive to think that they are increasing because of government intervention. No one here is advocating for communism, and to assume that liberals are entitlement seekers simply because they want everyone in the country to have some sort of safety net is simple right wing propaganda. The public option should have been put in the bill with the opt-out clause, which would have given all of the red states the privileged to keep their status quo. That being said, this thread is not about what any of us think about the health care bill, it's about why Democrats aren't running on it. Misinformation would be my best guess.

They're too busy running away from Obama and his policies that they supported against the will of a large majority of Americans. They now hope we are stupid enough to forget this. Too many were stupid enough to vote for this disgrace so I can see where they get their hopes from.

To answer the OP's question, Yes it could. The American people don't like being told what to do when they know they should have options. When they lose the feeling of options they support those that are trying to get them back.
When one party controls both the Executive and Legislative branches the people feel disempowered. They don't like feeling that they are overpowered by government officials and that is the way many people feel that HC was passed.
In fact if the Republicans don't attempt and hopefully repeal the HR3962 they will end up looking to be all sales and no product

If this boondoggle of a healthcare plan isn't repealed, look for it to evolve into an HUD type mortgage. That is any increase in take home pay you earn via a raise or bonus of any kind will be eaten away with increased government healthcare premium costs for greatly reduced coverage.

Why aren't these democrats then running on the health reform while also dispelling the misinformation on it?

Pelosi promised that we would know what's in it as soon as it got passed. So wrong guess I guess.

I'd take that bet. In the current environment, every action that a congresman does is scrutinized. If the dems are running away from Obama then you can be sure that a republican will stay far away from anything associated with big gov't or fiscal irresponbility. The people are finally holding the key to the safe.

Why Aren't Democrats Running On Health Reform

They most likely have not read it yet even though
once it passed they should have

They are now accountable for the massive debt and
out of sight unemployment numbers and will only
get worse if they continue on this socialistic path.

We have the people that supported Obama to thank for
this as his plan to 'Change' America as we know it
is right on course

Obama's Plan;

*promoting the view that America is institutionally an oppressive nation
*promoting the election of leftist political candidates throughout the United States
*opposing virtually all post-9/11 national security measures enacted by U.S. government, particularly the Patriot Act
*depicting American military actions as unjust, unwarranted, and immoral
*promoting open borders, mass immigration, and a watering down of current immigration laws
*promoting a dramatic expansion of social welfare programs funded by ever-escalating taxes
*promoting social welfare benefits and amnesty for illegal aliens
*defending the civil rights and liberties of suspected anti-American terrorists and their abetters
*financing the recruitment and training of future activist leaders of the political Left
*advocating America's unilateral disarmament and/or a steep reduction in its military spending
*opposing the death penalty in all circumstances
*promoting socialized medicine in the United States
*promoting the tenets of radical environmentalism, whose ultimate goal, as writer Michael Berliner has explained, is "not clean air and clean water, [but] rather ... the demolition of technological/industrial civilization"
*bringing American foreign policy under the control of the United Nations
*promoting racial and ethnic preferences in academia and the business world alike
*promoting taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand
*advocating stricter gun-control measures
*advocating the legalization of marijuana

Why Aren't Democrats Running On Health Reform?

Because they don't have Nancy Pelosi forcing them to like she did when she forced the bill through the house.
