Wow. I read this quickly and thought for sure you were talking about the left. Almost rep'd you for it. Whew. And here I thought all this time that Obama was destroying the country.

For Obama and Pelosi this was step one to grow the government exponentially while frustrating and forcing the US population (citizens & illegals alike), through higher costs and more limited choices, into single-payer government administered socialized medicine.
And now the new CBO estimates of the cost of Obamacare show that they didn't know what they were talking about with their earlier estimates of cost savings.

Of course this will all be done at the expense of the people in this country that value individual freedom of religion, expression and control over their own bodies. A resurgence of the right will be the end of personal freedom and choice in this country with forced belief and forced attendance at the First Church of Greed on Earth.

I am not looking forward to this collapse of individual freedom and trying to figure out how to avoid the disaster. We do not need financial domination by the rich and social domination by weak but fanatical men that require the law to force women to have their babies.
I'm left speechless. What an incredible rant. Feel better now?

What, exactly, do you mean by "We do not need financial domination by the rich" ? Who do you think our career politicians are? Poor working folk? It is the rich who want to dominate through power by making the poor poorer. Note that Obama wants to increase the size of the population that the democrats can control by making it dependent on the government. Republicans would rather have people be self-sufficient. You know, the old truism...teach a man to fish (not give him a fish). You think that's greedy, I think that's wise. You want the government to bring everybody meals on wheels, for free. What a contrast in quality of life that presents.

Your use of the term "talking point" is the talking point. Everything within the link I provided in the OP is factual, documented and coming to pass. But you didn't read it...did you? You just wanted to spit out the term "talking point".

Prove my link wrong in its content and then you can be taken seriously as someone worthy of debating with...otherwise, take a hike.

This is why many on CD will argue to the bitter end on these issues and use terms like Liberal, Progressive and Democrat as if they are blasphemous. These are religious fanatic, brainwashed SOB's!
Do you really want to go through some of the nuts and bolts of this?

There is misinformation out there - which is understood in light of the fact unbelievers are trying to interpret the Bible.

It would be funny if it were not so pathetically true.

Isn't it comedian Ron White who uses that line, "there's no for stupid."

You refer to "religious fanatic, brainwashed SOB's!" and you get upset when you perceived me calling you a lefty hippie?

Really?

You're really not being very tolerant here.

Starve the Federal Government through Tax Cuts

This has nothing to do with the Bible. This is economics. There is a rate that taxes need to be set at where economic activity is maximized while at the same time funding the agencies required to govern to country. When tax rates greatly depress economic activity - especially when people can not support themselves - then taxes are too high. Government needs to be cut.

Looking at the Theocracy Watch site that you posted, it mentions that "we" want to abolish the following agencies
  • the IRS
  • the Bureau of Tobacco and Firearms
  • the position of Surgeon General
  • the Environmental Protection Agency
  • the Departments of Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Health and Human Services, Education, Commerce and Labor
  • de-fund or abolish the National Endowment for the Arts, and Public Broadcasting System

and the removal of the following taxes...
  • income tax
  • inheritance tax
  • gift tax
  • capital gains
  • corporate income tax
  • payroll tax
  • property tax

Now if the only thing you do is what is listed - then yeah government will be starved. But that's not the whole story. The Texas GOP platform is here..

2010 Texas Republican Party Platform

They want a national sales taxes only after removal of the IRS and income taxes. That is not mentioned on Theocracy Watch. For now, they (Tex GOP) simply support tax deductions for home schooling, sales taxes, and home mortgages.

What's the religious angle here?

What's wrong with what is proposed as far as downsizing government?
