I haven't read all the posts in this thread but failed to see anyone discussing Agenda 21 anywhere. Has anyone mentioned anything to do with Agenda 21 and the way it hits so hard at Cap and Trade and in determining where people can live and where they can't. I fear that nobody that is for Green will ever talk about Agenda 21 which is from the UN. Do you know anything about Agenda 21?
royboy, we've danced this routine before, but I know memory sometimes fails you.
I have never been a fan of C&T (which by the way, is in origin a Republican idea).
I have never heard of agenda 21 either.
By the way royboy, has anyone actually promoted C&T on this thread?
If this agenda of yours and C&T are related then maybe you should create another thread and give your usually incredible astute analysis of these issues.

Actual the green movement is fueling jobs and construction ( and provideing me job security) but maybe not they way utopians think is good.............Utilities have been forced to install large numbers of diesel and gas fired engines to back up wind generation....Even GE is now supporting this trend by obtaining Jenbacher from Austria....The trend is moveing away from Gas turbines to recips.........
P.S. We burned over 200,000 gallons of diesel backing up wind power this summerr.. Pretty green isn't it??????
.....Since aspiemom and kovert continue to ridicule posters in this thread with opposing views I challenge them to post here exactly what they have done to "go green". How much of their personal $$ have they invested in "green" technology. What vehicles did they rid themselves of for more "green" ones and what did they buy. How did they downsize their housing and consumption? I'm not holding my breath for an honest answer.
^^^^^^Still waiting for an answer other than the loud sound of crickets on the above questions.

Lets get this straight, ONCE AND FOR ALL.
I'm not here to coddle and flatter you and I'm definitely under NO obligation to respond to you unless I feel like it.
I'd like you to point out where I ridiculed anyone in this thread.
And if your so delicate and sensitive in the first place, then maybe you should try moving to another forum.
Cry a river for all I care, but don't expect me to handhold you.
It ain't going happen.
But for the record, I do a lot of little things like making sure to recycle, I try to use mass transit and/or bike/walk than drive, I try to get organically grown food as much as budget allows for, I'm careful of the type of household items I buy, especially sprays, get energy efficient light bulbs, clean up around the community, among other things.
Now that is not all grandiose but I don't have millions of dollars to invest in alternative R&D, but like I said, I do what budget constraints allow for.

None of us on here have the millions to invest in the stupid scams Prince Gore wants us to buy into. Besides, why do you think it's ok for all of us serfs to cram into buses and subways, and live in cereal boxes inside a dirty, crowded city when those elite that tout we must go green! drive gas guzzlers, live in mansions, and fly around in private jets? Give me a break.

Thank you. Now was that really difficult to answer or do you just have full hate on auto-default?
Here it is. By "determining" where people live, that is done now...its called "Zoning Laws"
I have never read anything about Agenda 21 out of Wikipedia but I certainly will. The best part of that one is to go to the site and read what it really is. I do not expect to find real truth in Wiki but I will look and let you know how far from what their site that one is.
