Invading Iran now or in the future would be about as stupid an action we could possibly take. The Iranians, even the fanatics running the place, are not our enemies. There is no reason for an attack except to steal their oil and gas reserves or protect the Monarchs of Saudi Arabia or the Likud nut cakes in Israel. This people are not our friends and should be left alone to find their own fates.
In addition we should withdraw from the endless morass of Afghanistan. Let the market determine who eventually controls the Central Asian petroleum reserves. They are none of our business.
