And when that wasn't enough (first time buyer)..they did a "move up" homebuyer credit to suck in more people.

Then they gave the clunker credit.

Bribing people to "buy stuff" at the expense of the skyrocketing debt just to show a false recovery is coming back to bite them.

This is no simple recession that needs to be kickstarted. This time both jobs and the physical plant to do those jobs have left the shores.

Let us not forget those "green energy" credits too. Oh well, at least there will be a lot of well insulated homes in foreclosure for Barney Frank to dole out as government owned free housing to the poor while Fannie & Freddie go bellie up. Yep, that will help the values for those who have been able to keep their homes, NOT.

Obama's promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.
No he did not. His experts predicted that it would not. They were wrong. But it was still likely 1.5 or 2% hwere it would have been without the stimulus.

Oh, and did I mention Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).

Obama is the modern day Captain Smith. (Bush too. Captain Smith replaced Captain Smith?) The biggest difference... we are a lot more than 2,223 people on board. In comparison, the percentages of who'll survive looks to be about the same; (source - Wikipedia)

Category: First Class= 329 Second= 285 Third= 710 Crew= 899 Total= 2,223

# of Survivors: First= 199 Second= 119 Third= 174 Crew= 214 Total= 706

% Survived: First= 60.5 Second= 41.8 Third= 24.5 Crew= 23.8 Total=31.8%

# Lost : First= 130 Second= 166 Third= 536 Crew= 685 Total =1,517

America is the most unmaintained and mismanaged 'Ship' on the planet. Yes, a simple analogy. Nonetheless true.

Titanic Arrogance: Obama Is Sinking America | Personal Liberty Digest

John Myers | Personal Liberty Digest (http://www.personalliberty.com/author/john-myers/ - broken link)

I believe this is the point where the 'ship' splits in half and both parts (or sides) sink straight to the bottom. Hop aboard a life-boat. Oh wait, there aren't enough to support all there are on board. Then or now. What a hoot.

Will anyone ever learn?
All he believes in is himself and if you don't want to do it his way, it won't be done at all.

It matters little if the Demopublicans or Republicrats are in power. They will continue down the path to collapse.

It is imperative that they create a situation where expediency allows for scrapping the USCON and creating a 'new compact' that covers up their sins.

As a former poster child for national socialism, I was totally ignorant of the situation. Only in my late 30's did circumstances force me to read the law. Reading the law is not for the faint hearted. I guarantee that you will be disgusted with what you shall find... and their audacity to leave it in the public record, in every county courthouse law library is testament to the ignorance and apathy of the American people.

Of course, Congress enacts laws that they do not read - why should Americans bother to read the law?

One could propose new infrastructure spending which creates jobs, one could swear that they will not vote for Social Security benefits to be cut.
The stimulus spending, all $48 BILLION of it in the first stimulus, did not create the job growth as intended.

This is why I can't stand the guy:

Quote:
"The U.S.A. will not be sunk by icebergs, but by debt and policies which sacrifice the dollar for political expediency."
as he goes off pandering for Hispanic votes by promising "immigration reform".

That, and the fact that he's a narcissist and empty-suit.
