After his performance on talk TV last Sunday I believe he proved himself to be nothing more than an "establishment" politician who may have been in Washington too long. Here is an article that points out why many of us feel that way. I think that he may be more of the same not a replacement.

The American Spectator : Boehner Blew It

He's not bad for a neo-con I have to say. But he is still a neo-con, a big government shill.

He is more corporatist than "beltway". He should've applied for BP CEO when he had the chance.

Boehner just means more of the same old Bush/Cheney/Pelosi rigmarole. Professional politicians for whom out of control government spending is the solution to everything.

You beat me to it.

In reality, were Boehner to assume the Speaker's chair, it would mean divided government is back. And divided government works best.
